Madrid: What Is There To See?

It is pretty obvious when you are looking for a vacation destination, it is a hard choice!  There are so many different places that should be visited at least once in your lifetime and while Madrid is not all that popular, it is definitely one of those places!  Madrid is beautiful, captivating and absolutely breathtaking.  It is the heart of Spain and absolutely one of the richest in culture cities.  There are so many different things to see in this incredible city, it really will blow your mind!

Whether you are looking for some nightlife or you are looking to some culture, Madrid is definitely one city you should not miss at all!  The Museo del Prado is one of the biggest and best museums that everyone should attempt to see in their lifetime.  Not only does it hold all sorts of Spanish artists work such as Goya, Velasquez, and El Bosco, but it also holds all sorts of pieces from the Royal Collection. 

The Royal Palace is another place that should not be missed that is tucked away in Madrid.  This is a beautiful home that was once the place where the King and Queen laid their head.  Now, of course, the King and Queen reside elsewhere, but they have kept the Royal Palace open to the public.  Whether you are going on a guided tour, or you are just there yourself, if you take a vacation to Madrid, this should definitely be one of your sight-seeing spots. 

If you are looking for something that is a little more peaceful, you should absolutely check out the Parque Del Buen Retiro, this incredible park holds all sorts of history and is filled with a lake, gardens and just an all around relaxing and peaceful setting.  Visiting this park is a great way to end any day and a fantastic place to plan a picnic lunch.
